Too often our professional lives dictate our daily routines and we forget to take time for ourselves. Activities of self-interest are generally pushed aside in order to make way for more “productive” work-related tasks.   Although we never stop learning, we sometimes abandon our right to choose the topic of study. Here is the Killing Herb Inc. go-forward action for this article:

  • Visit a book store nearest you and select a book that you really want to read (preferably not work-related).
  • Once you have selected your book, schedule 15 minutes of reading everyday (time at breakfast works for me).
  • Read more, think more and discuss more with your friends

Daily non-work related reading will reduce stress and increase your effectiveness in the office.
